A rai bandhej khaddi georgette saree in alternating rani pink and red squares, with bandhej dots tied in a lively yellow-and-white combination for contrast against the rich base colors. Khaddi georgette keeps the drape light and easy to move in, without losing the traditional Banarasi character.
The fifth photograph is the back of this saree. A powerloom carries thread across the reverse between motifs. A handloom does not.

Five and a half metres, about 1.1 metres wide, with an unstitched blouse piece of roughly 0.8 metres. The fall and pico are done in Banaras before the saree ships. Woven in Banaras.
Dry clean only. Store folded in the muslin it arrived in, never in plastic, and refold along different lines every few months so the zari does not crease in one place.
