A pure Katan silk saree in a rich navy blue, finished with a classic Banarasi ghat border woven entirely in pure silk zari. Katan silk is known for its smooth, almost buttery texture and clean fall, and the navy-and-gold combination gives this piece a substantial, understated elegance.
The fifth photograph is the back of this saree. A powerloom carries thread across the reverse between motifs. A handloom does not.

Five and a half metres, about 1.1 metres wide, with an unstitched blouse piece of roughly 0.8 metres. The fall and pico are done in Banaras before the saree ships. Woven in Banaras.
Dry clean only. Store folded in the muslin it arrived in, never in plastic, and refold along different lines every few months so the zari does not crease in one place.
